The Spiritual Significance of Diyas

In Hindu tradition and Vastu practices, specific counts of lamps are designated for different areas of the home to invite positive energy, health, and wealth.

The Entrance : Five diyas are traditionally placed at the main doorstep in a semi-circle to welcome Goddess Lakshmi (the deity of wealth and prosperity) and to guide her blessings into every corner of the house.
The Prayer Room / Pooja Altar: Placed on either side of the deities, these two lamps invoke divine wisdom, spiritual enlightenment, and clear away mental darkness.
The Kitchen : The final two diyas are placed near the hearth or stove to honor Goddess Annapurna (the deity of food and nourishment), ensuring the household is always blessed with abundance and never faces hunger.
