Adisha Supari (Prayer Nut) is used in Hindu rituals in the following short ways:
- Deity Placeholder: Wrapped in sacred thread (Mauli) and placed on a betel leaf to represent Lord Ganesha or Goddess Lakshmi when an idol is not present.
- Tamboolam Offering: Offered to deities on a betel leaf alongside cloves and cardamom as a gesture of divine hospitality.
- Navgrah Pooja: Placed on a ritual grid to symbolize the nine cosmic planets.
- Sacred Kalash: Dropped inside the ceremonial water pot (Kalash) with a coin to purify the water.
- Respectful Offerings: Given to priests along with monetary gifts (Dakshina) or exchanged between families to seal wedding alliances.
